About the Event
Join Ken Turino as he traces the development of the celebration of Christmas from when outlawed in 17th Century New England through the mid-21st Century. The presentation will look at how Christmas transformed from a rowdy celebration to a family centered event. Ken Turino is Manager of Community Partnerships and Resource Development at Historic New England and on the faculty of Tufts University’s Museum Studies Department. He is an author, consultant, curator, director, educator, and producer.
