About the Event

Join biblical scholar and archaeologist Nate Ramsayer as he guides us through a tour of Israel and the surrounding regions. Archaeologists have been digging these areas for about 200 years now, producing all kinds of fascinating remains from the past. Learn how we piece together the puzzle of the ancient world and what it is like to be an archaeologist. Let’s explore the ways in which we get information about people who lived in the past and how objects and ruins were excavated. And the kinds of artifacts that have been found that relate to the biblical stories. Nate Ramsayer holds an M.A. degree in Hebrew Bible and the ancient Near East from Brandeis University. He is also an active archaeologist who has excavated seven sites around the world. Registration required.

Sponsored by a generous grant from The Cummings Foundation.
