Astronomy & Our Place in the Universe

Astronomy is much more than the study of stars and galaxies—it is a fascinating and accessible hobby with opportunities for everyone to explore. Many aspects of astronomy require little or no equipment and can be enjoyed during the daytime or early evening hours. This presentation will encourage participants to begin observing the sky through familiar sights such as the Sun, Moon, and bright planets, deepen their appreciation of the solar system, and discover resources to continue exploring the universe on their own.
