The Winchester Caregiver Network invites you to an educational session dedicated to improving communication and engagement between caregivers and their loved ones who are hard of hearing. Featured guest speaker, Dr. Nicole Laffan, Audiology Clinic Director and Associate Clinical Professor at Northeastern University, will define types and degrees of hearing loss, examine untreated hearing loss as a critical risk factor for dementia, discuss hearing assistive technology, and share insights on identifying and eliminating daily communication barriers in a non-judgmental manner.
