Featured guest speaker, Dr. Nicole Laffan, Audiology Clinic Director and Associate Clinical Professor at Northeastern University, will define types and degrees of hearing loss, examine untreated hearing loss as a critical risk factor for dementia, discuss hearing assistive technology, and share insights on identifying and eliminating daily communication barriers in a non-judgmental manner.
