Cabaret Concert with Maggy Galloway, Billy Novick and Bob Nieske

Join us for an amazing group of musical artists: Maggie Galloway-vocal, Bob Nieske-bass and Billy Novick-clarinet. The group is intimate and lively and draw their material from composers like Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and Hoagie Carmichael as well as many others. The group has been playing together for years. Maggie Galloway has released two recordings as a leader: the critically acclaimed More Than You Know on the Brownstone label and Azure on Little Muse Records. Billy Novick has performed with blues as well as jazz musicians. He has also appeared in concert performing Brazilian music, Celtic music, Klezmer music, and French cabaret. Bob Nieske was the bassist with the Jimmy Giuffre 4 and appears on Jimmy’s three Soul Note recordings.  He has numerous recordings of his own groups. He is also the director of the Brandeis Jazz Ensemble and an artist in residence in music at New England Conservatory.
