Ever wonder how composers approach writing music? Join interviewer Andrew Celentano for an interesting discussion with guest Olivia Pérez Collellmir. Solo pianist, bandleader, and composer from Barcelona, Spain. As a young scholar pianist, she toured performing Faure’s Nocturns and Bach’s Partilas and recorded for the National Radio of Spain. She is a Spanish virtuoso, who adds a flamenco touch to her chamber jazz. Olivia is the composer and performer of several award-winning compositions.  Currently, she is a member of the faculty, in Berklee College of Music, piano department. As a tribute to her heritage, she incentivized the formation of the first Berklee Spanish Music and Flamenco Jazz Ensemble.
