Composer’s Corner with Guest Bob Nieske

Join Andrew Celentano, a talented local pianist and composer himself, for an interesting interview with composer, and bassist Bob Nieske who is one of the finest jazz composers and bassists in New England. He directs the Jazz Ensemble and teaches jazz composition/arranging, Jazz History and an introductory improvisation class. As bassist, composer and bandleader, his projects include a suite for his jazz trio, and the Lydian String Quartet, documented on his critically acclaimed CD “Simplicity”. Bob is director of the Brandeis Jazz Ensemble and an artist in residence in music at New England Conservatory. Registration required.
