Dementia 101: Dementia Basics + Dementia Friend Workshop (Healthy Aging Workshop Week 4 of 6)

The Healthy Aging Workshop is a 7 week lecture series presented by Dr. Katie Wadland, Geriatric Clinical Specialist. You may participate in all or some of the lectures, please register for each lecture you will attend at www.jenkscenter.org Each week will focus on a new topic. This week you will learn how Both Dr. Katie Wadland, PT, DPT and Dr. Tami DeAngelis are trained Dementia Friends Champions and are able offer Dementia Friend training through Dementia Friends Massachusetts. To become a Dementia Friend, you participate in a one-hour Dementia Friends Information Session. You will learn five key messages about dementia, and a bit about what it’s like to live with dementia. As a Dementia Friend, you turn your new understanding of dementia into a practical action that can help someone with dementia living in your community.
