Emerging Housing Opportunities in Winchester

Learn about new housing options that will be available in Winchester, each of which will serve the housing needs of seniors as well as other households over a range of incomes. This event is presented by the Housing Partnership Board, Winchester’s Housing Coalition and the town’s Affordable Housing Trust. Information on the following rental developments will be provided: 416 Cambridge Street; 25 River Street off Cross Street; the Waterfield Lot in the town center; the land at the corner of Washington and Swanton; and a nine-unit townhouse development at 87-89 Cross Street. Occupancy of the rental units at Cambridge and River Street will begin at the end of August, with applications for the affordable units, will be awarded through a lottery process, due by May 31. In addition, an update will be provided on the implementation of the Winchester’s Accessory Dwelling Unit By-Law approved by the Fall 2022 Town Meeting.
