Hollywood & The Courtroom: Part 2

Using famous Hollywood movie clips, we will focus on the drama of cross-examining a witness at trial (both a “hard” and a “soft” cross) and closing arguments. We will feature scenes from My Cousin Vinny, Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington in Philadelphia, Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men, Paul Newman in The Verdict, Jodie Foster’s The Accused and finally, Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird. Please Note: This talk features different movie clips from those shown in Part I of this series.
