About the Event
Join us to explore Luxor, Egypt with a designated local tour guide. We will start on the avenue of Sphinxes. Talk about the processions that came along this avenue, and the Pharaohs that started them. Then head into the open area where we will talk about Rameses II and war in Kadesh. We will observe the red granite statues dedicated to Rameses II. Then walk along the colonnade, which was built by Ahmenhotep III. We will enter the festival hall, surrounded by 66 columns, and will talk about the festivals that took place there. Then proceed to the Sanctuary, walk through the shrine dedicated to Alexander the Great and move to the open-air museum with its endless pieces of temple. Register to receive the Zoom Link.
