About the Event

Ted Powers, vocals, tap-dance, guitar, banjo and harmonica; Peter H. Bloom, flute; and Dave Zox, double bass will entertain you to your heart’s content. The Modernistics Trio will perform Love Songs and Other Gems from the Jazz Age – an exuberant show of songs, tap-dance numbers, and jazz instrumentals by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and other master tunesmiths of the Jazz Age. Among the selections are The Girl I Love, It Had To Be You, Singing in the Rain, and Let’s Misbehave. Ted, Peter, and Dave have played together for decades, and each of them has impressive credentials performing in the U.S. and abroad. “An excellent musical group…delightful!”
