About the Event
Join Emily Makrez, owner of the F-Farm: a place for farming, foraging, and fermenting, for a presentation on food preservation. You will learn what vinegar is and the chemistry behind the process. Learn how to turn anything into vinegar, even bananas! The program will include a demo of making vinegar, a viewing of vinegar “mothers” and tasting samples of various scrap vinegars. We will also touch on the benefits of fermented food and how adding these foods to our diets is a benefit to our overall health.
Sponsored by a generous grant from The Cummings Foundation.
