Sociological Book Club, Thursday, November 20 at 11:00 am: Join Tony Corsentino of Winchester Public Library to discuss this month’s book selection -- “One Day, Everyone will Have Always Been Against This” by Omar El Akkad, an Egyptian American journalist. This work of nonfiction combines elements of political commentary, cultural criticism and personal memories examining responses of the Western hemisphere to the 2023 Gaza conflict alongside broader patterns of violence and moral disengagement. The review in the Guardian stated this book is “a cathartic savaging of western hypocrisy over Gaza· “
