Sociological Book Club, Thursday, October 22, 11:00 am: Tony Corsentino of Winchester Public Library will lead the discussion of “The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood among Ghosts” by Maxine Hong Kingston. Celebrated by the National Book Critics Circle Award, this 1976 nonfiction book explores the author’s wrestling with growing up in California as a Chinese-American living with a mother with traditional Chinese values.
