About the Event
Summer is a magical time of year as our skies, trees and yards are filled with the sight and sounds of birds. Some of these are bursting with song. In this class, we’ll learn how to identify some of these songsters, by sight and sound. After this class, you should have a better understanding of what’s happening during summer and be able to identify more of the birds in your neighborhood. Neil Hayward has been a birdwatcher ever since he was strong enough to lift a pair of binoculars on his own. He is a past president of the Brookline Bird Club in Massachusetts, board member of the American Birding Association, counsel member of the Nuttell Ornithological Club, bird sightings editor for the journal Bird Observer and the author of Lost Among the Birds (Bloomsbury, June 2016), a memoir of his accidental big year.
