About the Event
Join award winning digital filmmaker Peter Engeldrum for the premier of his latest film about Winchester's MBTA Overpass. This film is the story of the decades-long acrimonious process to get the grade crossing abolished as the Boston & Lowell RR railroad grade crossing in Winchester Center was both dangerous and an impediment to traffic. It took years of seemingly endless debates and a myriad of proposed plans before it was finally abolished. Peter 's goal as a filmmaker is to tell the stories of Winchester's history. His past feature films include “Winchester's Ghost Railroad”, and “The Colonel” the story of the namesake of our town, William Parsons Winchester.” Registration required. Co-sponsored by the Winchester Historical Society and a generous grant from The Cummings Foundation.
