About the Event
Join us for a presentation on the Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge. The Speaker Bob Quinn was the first field Ornithologist for Audubon in New Hampshire. We will embark on one of Bob’s natural history adventures and learn about the Wildlife Refuge with its 237 bird species, 77 dragonfly and damselfly species, and 65 species of butterflies. The refuge consists of 928 acres and is known for being one of the best inland migration spots in the state of New Hampshire. At Audubon, he was inspired by those he calls his mentors; people like Tudor Richards, an Audubon volunteer who, needing another driver for a tour he was leading, invited Bob to go with him to the Florida Everglades. It was Quinn’s first birding tour and he eventually founded Merlin Wildlife Tours, which he has led, all around the world, from Bhutan to New Hampshire.
Sponsored by The Menotomy Bird Club and a generous grant from The Cummings Foundation.
