Join Jeff Klapes, the Traveling Librarian, for his popular armchair travel presentations. This series highlights travel photography and stories and travel tips about destinations around the world. This month we'll be going to Greece, and exploring Athens, the bustling capital that is both ancient and modern. From well-trodden sights like the Acropolis to out of the way neighborhoods, markets, and green spaces, we'll explore the city beyond what most visitors see. Athens is often just a quick stopover on the way to the Greek Islands, but we'll see instead what makes this such a vibrant cosmopolitan city. Jeff Klapes is the retired Head of Reference Services at Wakefield's Beebe Library and an avid traveler and photographer.
