About the Event

Which books of the Bible make up the New Testament? How does it differ from the Old Testament? When were these books written? What was the cultural and historical situation of Palestine during the 1st century CE? Join biblical scholar and archaeologist—and Jenks favorite—Nate Ramsayer for the first in an eight-part lecture series throughout this winter/spring at The Jenks titled Introduction to the New Testament. In this first talk, Nate will introduce the character of Jesus from the text, outline the world in which he was born, and discuss how historians make sense of the myriad stories of his life. Feel free to come to as many as you are able throughout the series!

Sponsored by the John and Mary Murphy Foundation.
