About the Event
Was Moses the author of the Torah? If so, why are there so many contradictions found within it? How do scholars make sense of these terse, yet complicated stories?
Join biblical scholar and archaeologist Nate Ramsayer for the third presentation in his seven-part course How the Bible Became a Book. In this lecture, Nate will give an overview of some curious narrative characteristics found in the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, as well as take a deep dive into the story of creation. He will then introduce the audience to the foundational theory of biblical authorship by academic scholars. You won’t want to miss out! Please note the time difference from previous sessions. Feel free to join, even if you have missed other lectures!
