About the Event
Join newly appointed Sustainability Director, Ken Pruitt for a Presentation on Winchester's Climate Action Plan. The discussion will include efforts to convert to renewable sources of energy, purchase electric vehicles, and prepare for expected impacts from climate change such as heat waves and more powerful storms. He will share his thoughts about the challenges posed by climate change as well as some exciting opportunities for ensuring a clean energy future in Winchester and beyond.
Ken earned a Master of Forest Science degree from the Yale School of the Environment and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Macalester College. He has been working in the field of sustainability for almost 30 years. He served asDirector of Conservation for the Town of Boxford and went on to become Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions and then the Environmental League of Massachusetts. And also worked four years as Energy Manager for the Town of Arlington.
