Jenks Presents The Modernistics – ‘The 20’s Roar Again’

Join us for an afternoon program that is both educational and entertaining. The Modernistics Group will evoke the vitality and mystique of the 1920s with hit songs, high-energy tap dance numbers, and captivating instrumentals by the great tunesmiths of the day - George Gershwin, Fats Waller, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael and others. The group also comprises the acclaimed singing and tap-dancing team of Ted and Pamela Powers, with virtuoso jazz musicians Peter H. Bloom on flute, Mark Leighton on guitar, and Dave Zox on double-bass. The members of The Modernistics have taught and concertized extensively in the United States and abroad.
