About the Event

DNA testing is becoming more mainstream, especially “direct to consumer” tests like Ancestry and 23andMe. Join Dr. Linda Call to learn about what these tests detect and what it all means, from finding out where your ancestors originated (and do you have any third cousins in Woburn?) to detecting minor health traits (do you have an aversion to cilantro?) and serious medical issues (are you predisposed to certain types of cancer?). DNA testing for cancer patients can guide decisions in treatment options. Come with questions! Dr. Call is the Director of Scientific and Clinical Operations at N-of-One, a QIAGEN Company and received her Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Human Genetics. Please register to obtain the Zoom link. Sponsored by a generous grant from the Cummings Foundation.
